Validating tickets

Prerequisites

To validate tickets, you need a mobile device or computer connected to the internet. You also need an account at Fienta to log in. Multiple people can log in at the same time using the same account.

Mobile app

To validate tickets, download our free app from the links below or search for "Fienta" in the appropriate app stores. Supported versions are iOS 12+ and Android 8.1+.

Using the app

After logging in, you will see a list of your upcoming events. Choose your event, press SCAN, and point your camera at the ticket code. The app will show the ticket type and quantity, and mark it as used.

An appropriate message will be displayed when scanning a ticket that has already been used.

For testing, you can use a sample ticket found under the "Ticket" menu when setting up your event on Fienta. Or use this QR code:

Reverting the ticket

If you validated a ticket by mistake, you can mark it as valid again. Swipe left on the ticket to reveal an Undo button.

Offline mode

If the internet connection is missing or poor, our app will continue to work. You can scan tickets for the last selected event using an offline database stored on your device. Information about validated tickets will be sent to Fienta as soon as your device connects to the internet again.

Attendee data

By default, our app shows the ticket type and quantity when scanning. If you collect additional information from buyers using the Order form tool, you can show those answers in the scanner as well. You can set this up under Order form > Custom field on Fienta.
