November 24 at 7:00 PM at SmArt.Point in Almaty, astronomer and science communicator Vladimir Surdin will give an exciting lecture on the search for extraterrestrial life!

Did you know that the most promising locations for discovering life beyond Earth and for building extraterrestrial habitats are caves on planets, their moons, asteroids, and comets? 🌌

— Why are caves considered suitable for life?
— Could this be a new frontier for space colonization?
— How does the presence of water in these caves increase the chances of finding life?
— Why don’t we yet have robots capable of exploring these mysterious depths?

Vladimir Surdin will share innovative ideas for exploring cosmic caves and explain how they might impact the future of space colonization.

After the lecture:

— Q&A Session (ask your most intriguing questions!)
— Photo Opportunity — capture a moment with someone who knows where to find the secrets of the universe 😉

When: November 24 at 7:00 PM
Where: SmArt.Point conference hall
The lecture will be conducted in Russian.

Don’t miss the opportunity to spend an evening with like-minded people and discover what mysteries the cosmos holds. Who knows? You might be the one to help explore cosmic caves!

If you’re passionate about space, don’t miss the lecture «New Cosmic Monsters: From Supernova Explosions to the ’Scary Barbie’,» to be presented in Almaty on November 30 by astrophysicist and science communicator Vyacheslav Avdeev.

During this lecture, you’ll learn about new types of cosmic explosions discovered by astronomers in the depths of space, how they differ from typical supernovae and gamma-ray bursts, where they got their ominous names like «Scary Barbie», and whether they pose a threat to Earth.
