About the Speaker:

Vladimir Surdin is an astronomer, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University, and Senior Researcher at the P.K. Sternberg State Astronomical Institute. A science popularizer, he is the author and editor of several dozen popular science books on astronomy and astrophysics, and a laureate of the Belyaev Prize and the "Enlightener" Prize.
