Nezar is a Muslim Arab comic from the Middle East. He lived in Estonia long enough to feel at home, then made the mistake of moving to Poland — and now he is back! Technically, he is back every year for Jaanipäev.

After doing a lot of open mics and a few headliner spots, Nezar is ready to try a longer format, and there is no better place to test his material than Tallinn.

After excelling at both public schools and Muslim Brotherhood private schools, Nezar failed to pass high school for two years. He later got a sports scholarship, then found his way into — and out of — engineering, IT, and business programs. Eventually, he earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences in Estonia and a master’s degree in Islamic Studies in Poland, where he is now developing PhD research comparing jokes about Islam in mosques, universities, and comedy clubs.
