Wednesday 21. January at 20:30 - 22:30
FOMO Secret Cinema, Tbilisi
🎬 Teaser Trailer on youtube
In LIKE MY NAME PEGAH, we follow Pegah across Tehran as she races to raise funds to free her boyfriend before he's sent to a forced labour camp. She's desperate and goes into debt, but manages to get him out Unfortunately for Pegah, her troubles are only just starting.
After starring in this documentary, and after multiple arrests by the morality police, Pegah fled Iran for Turkey before settling in Tbilisi. She spent many years here and touched the lives of many of us locally before moving on once more overseas.
She now faces deportation back to Tehran where she's on a government blacklist and faces certain imprisonment.
FOMO Secret Cinema has obtained special permission from the filmmakers to screen this amazing documentary as part of our extended Persian Film Fest. All ticket sales for this documentary will be donated to Pegah's legal fees and repatriation to a safe country fund.
We ask all guests to be as generous as possible in their donation as seats are strictly limited. FOMO Cinema, Pegah and Pegah's friends, family and community thank you in advance ♥️
