Alexander Panchin is a candidate of biological sciences, laureate of the "Просветитель" (Enlightener) award, author of novels and popular science books, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Commission on Combating Pseudoscience, and a member of the board of the "Evolution" educational foundation. He is also the creator of a popular YouTube channel.
