EPICIRQ – Estonian Professional Circus Showcase 2018 will take place on 29th to 30th of September in Tallinn. Presenting the local artists, venues and organisations, opening discussions, pitches and excursions.
EPICIRQ has been brought alive by Estonian circus artists with the aim to reach out to new spectators, engaging dance and theatre field, local and foreign festival programmers and funding agents, opening discussion and putting together, what Estonian professional circus is and could be.

Performances at Vaba Lava Theatre Centre:
“Carousel Night” – a duo performance by Carousel Company (Ireen Peegel and Jaakko Repola). “Carousel Night” combines physical theatre, circus and live music into a beautiful story, that resonates with viewers own breath, experience and memories.
“Absurd” – a solo performance first demo showing by Estonian artist Anna Kristin Peterson-McCarthy. Anna Kristin is a multitalented contortionist, in “Absurd” she’ll be talking about the western comfort zone and the absurdness of it.
“Confines” – a solo performance by Grete Gross, performed with musicians Johan and Johanna Randvere. Combining visual art, poetry, classical live music and circus, “Confines” tells a story of learning to accept and love oneself.
Each of the performances will be followed by a talk with the artists
