Tamara Natanovna Eidelman—historian, writer, educator, and author of a popular YouTube channel with over 1 million subscribers—will give a lecture titled "How Propaganda Works" in New York on May 16 at 7:00 PM.
For centuries, the methods of manipulating the minds of thousands and even millions of people have remained almost unchanged. Today, propagandists have far more powerful technologies at their disposal, but why do millions suddenly start believing the most insane and brutal ideas? Has propaganda found weak spots that make people defenseless? Is it possible to resist its influence?
Together with the audience, Tamara Eidelman will explore these questions, examine the history and mechanisms of propaganda, and seek to understand how it shapes human minds.
The lecture will be held in Russian.
After the lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to ask Tamara Natanovna questions, take photos with her, and have their books signed.
