On January 24 at 7:00 pm in Almaty, there will be a lecture titled "Down with Composers! Or Not?" by Anna Vilenskaya, a musicologist, composer, and creator of the project "Open Music Lecture."
Artificial Intelligence has long become an integral part of our lives. It helps us in various fields, including music. AI can create music based on processed data. Thus, a musical array is "fed" to it and unexpected results are obtained.
It's interesting how it turns out: Artificial Intelligence wrote music without mistakes. Of course, it is not considered authorial. But it is quite difficult to explain what is wrong with it. This is a reason to deconstruct some examples of generated music and see how it works.
In the lecture, we will try to understand how many years Artificial Intelligence needs to replace composers and whether it is possible at all. Or should real music be written by a living person, not a machine?
The lecture will be held on January 24 at 7:00 pm in Almaty at Smart Point, located at 280 Baizakov Street."
The lecture will be held in Russian.
