„I make sure to fill up my coffee cup to the brim every morning, although I already know that two mouthfuls are going to be spilled on my way to the couch. I tend to have a pastry covered with plenty of icing sugar while wearing all black. I notice a middle-aged man at the theatre cafe trying to hide his anxiety from being at the theatre alone by ordering a potato salad and an ice cream cocktail. On my birthday, I fail in blowing out the candles at once, so the wishes will not come true. The bridal bouquet also lands in someone else’s hand.

Smaller and greater tragedies of everyday life. Struggles, failures, inevitabilities. Significant efforts and impossible tasks. Pretending, clichés and the absurdity of being.“

Kirte Jõesaar is in the process of making her first experiments as a performing artist. Currently she is interested in exploring the boundaries between everyday life, entertainment and high culture. She has spent a year as an exchange student in Berlin and currently plans to complete her studies at Viljandi Culture Academy.
