Rogier Bak is a comedian from Amsterdam. He is Dutch, but has worked incredibly hard to make sure you could never tell. Having spent his formative years in the US, he feels like a foreigner in his home country. He’s the first Dutch comedian to exploit cultural identity crisis for personal gain, and there’s a very realistic chance that he’s, like, literally, the only Dutch person in the world who wishes he were American.
Luana Matei (RO), originally from Romania, she lived in Tokyo for 12 years before getting trapped in Amsterdam during the lockdown.
In 2022/23 she began extensively touring Europe & Asia, having performed in 51 cities across 29 countries, with over 250 packed shows (150+ sold out) entertaining more than 20,000 people. Her comedy is dark, insightful, and deftly encapsulating her experiences living and traveling around the world! She takes vulnerability to another level, pushing the boundaries of "How soon is too soon?"
Ronan is a hairy Irishman with a caustic wit and an inferiority complex. He came to Amsterdam to make the houses more expensive for the natives, and in the meantime he enjoys going to comedy shows to legally scream at strangers. He's not a dissident, he's a taking-the-piss-ident. He's not an activist, he's a having-the-craic-tivist.
Mixing the dark with the weird and lacing it all with clever punchlines and brought in a hilariously dry tone. Rami won't convince you of anything. His method is subtle and will desoriëntate you in a unusual way. Rami won the Griffioen comedy festival 2021.
Daniel Yazbek is a stand-up comedian from South Africa. He has quickly found himself a home in the Amsterdam comedy scene through his witty storytelling and charming crowd work. He was traumatized as a child – but which comedian/human wasn't?! He does a stellar job of hiding it, making the audience as comfortable as he is on stage.
George Degoumois (IG: @georges.degoumois) is a confused man from Switzerland and has been a regular of the Amsterdam comedy scene since 2022, where he continually manages to dazzle audiences with his dry delivery and bizarre style.
