Chefs + Champagne | powered by Liebherr will bring together top Latvian chefs and sommeliers to showcase Champagne’s ability to pair well with Latvian gastronomy!
We’d love to promote Champagne culture and knowledge in Latvia, highlighting the important role of Champagne in Latvian gastronomy.
Leading chefs and sommeliers will be invited to present pairings that clearly demonstrate the excellent compatibility of Champagne and gastronomy.
We want this event to be a symbolic annual snapshot reflecting Latvia’s contemporary understanding of Champagne.
We believe that the competition will not only help further promote Champagne’s role in Latvian gastronomy but will also foster cooperation between chefs and sommeliers!
Imagine the atrium hall of Hanzas Perons – with the help of Liebherr, it will be transformed into a dining room.
Under the guidance of the master of ceremonies, Valdis Melderis, each chef & somm duo will briefly present their dish and the respective Champagne, serving it to the Jury and gourmet guests.
The jury will evaluate each pairing, the dish itself, and the Champagne, trying to determine the most attractive combination.
