School Break Camps: "Becoming Friends Through Sports!"

Tuesday 9. July at 10:00 - Thursday 11. July at 15:00

Estonian Sports and Olympic Museum • Rüütli 15, 51005 Tartu, Tartu, Estonia

It's Cultural Diversity Year in Estonia and in celebration of this, we invite all 7-11-year-olds to participate in the sports museum's children's camps, where young people from different backgrounds can meet, make new friends, engage in sports, and gain new knowledge from both the sports museum and beyond! As part of the project, we will conduct three camps, bringing together a total of 60 young participants. The camps aim to support integration, providing an opportunity for young people from diverse backgrounds to meet each other and motivate them to engage in physical activities. The camps introduce Estonian sports culture while also facilitating discussions on various topics related to the attitudes, knowledge, and perceptions of young people with different backgrounds.

Two of the children's camps are primarily for language immersion groups, and one is specifically for English-speaking youth. Young people who speak Estonian are also highly encouraged to join, as they can make new acquaintances and have a meaningful way to spend their breaks.

For whom: 7-11-year-olds, foreign residents living in Estonia, and local non-Estonian-speaking or Estonian-speaking youth.

Fee: 20 euros/camp.

The camps will take place on the following dates:
February 27-29, 2024: Children's camp using the language immersion method (conducted in Estonian).
April 23-25, 2024: English-language children's camp.
July 9-11, 2024: Children's camp using the language immersion method (conducted in Estonian).
