Workshop: Intro to Improvised Hip-Hop

Join us for an afternoon of rhyming and fun. This workshop is designed to get the newest of performers comfortable with freestyle rapping. You’ll learn how to work with the beat, find your flow, and construct versus that can heighten any improvised scene.

Aside from learning some Hip Hop fundamentals, you’ll also learn how to initiate a rap from within an improvised scene. Use the characters and scenes you create and weave them into a rap that you, and your fellow players, create on the spot!

Whether you’ve done some Hip Hop before, or if this is your first time, we’d love to have you along! No previous experience necessary!

About Track 96

Track 96 is a hip-hop improv comedy group. Based on audience suggestions, they create a world of rhyme and rhythm. They make-up rhymes on the spot and improvise scenes that audiences connect with. Their live show is a high-energy party atmosphere, full of fun scenes and full-fledged hip-hop musical numbers, all accompanied by a live beatboxer.

Track 96 are London's premiere hip-hop improv group. They are diverse, multinational, and above all an experienced group that have learned from some of the best (Northcoast, Chicago I/O, Hoopla, Maydays, The Nursery, The Free Association). They perform regularly across the UK.
