In academic electronic music, sound systems have recently become increasingly available that fill the entire room so that the listener hears sound not only from the front, but from all around, from all directions and even from heights above the head. For this concert, students from both the Sound Synthesis and Live Electronics courses at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre have been given the task of creating new works for such possibilities, both in prepared form and in live performance, by generating electronic sound at the moment the music is played and controlling it in real time in a three-dimensional sound field. In addition to student works, works by guest composers will also be performed.
