Come be a part of an English comedy special - LITTLE TOO MUCH - by Berlin based, internationally touring and independent standup comedian from India, Anshita Koul and an a wonderful opening act by Lisbon based comedian Xinyi Li in collaboration with Lisbon Comedy collective!

Show Description -
Little Too Much is an English comedy solo stand-up show by comedian Anshita Koul. The show takes you on a roller coaster ride that is Anshita’s life, engaging the audience with stories about why she switched careers from software engineering to hardware comedy, why she thinks marriage is a pyramid scheme, why she misses her catcallers back home, why she despises the public enemy number one question 'How are you?' and what happened when she came out to her friends and family as a woman with opinions on Indian Reality TV shows, amongst other topics trivial and political.
37, Indian, Queer, Married, Childfree by choice and a standup comedian by profession– Anshita is a poster child for everything Heteronormative Patriarchy hates, but don’t worry kids, she hates it back way more. Anshita is currently on tour, and has taken the show and parts of it to 34+ cities across Europe and UK, including Edinburgh Fringe 22, Tallinn Fringe 22 and 23, Copenhagen Pride Stage 23 and the backyard of a rich Flemish man. And now she is coming to perform her show in Lisbon for the first time ever.
As an independent artist, Anshita self produces all her shows with the help of other independent collectives. In Lisbon, she is thrilled to collaborate with Lisboa comedy and hopes to share her jokes and stories with a diverse international crowd in one of the beautiful cities in Europe. There will be a local act opening the show as well.

About Anshita Koul
Anshita Koul (she/they) is a Berlin based, internationally touring standup comedian from India. They are also the co-founder of Clit Comedy Club and Festrogen Comedy Festival in Luxembourg. When she is not touring, she is performing, hosting, headlining and producing comedy shows in Berlin under the brand Comedy Bazaar Berlin and Word On The Street. They also teach virtual and in-person joke writing workshops for individuals and organisations.
Anshita made her debut in the standup world from the Indian reality TV show Queens of Comedy in 2017 and they were also seen opening the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 in the UK, as the only comedian from Europe who made it to the finals. Anshita is a polyglot comedian and has three standup solos under their belt in English and Hindi and a youtube channel with comedy sketches in her mother tongue Kashmiri. She is currently on tour with their solo hour LITTLE TOO MUCH, double bill show - The Clitoris Act.
