Get ready to immerse yourself in one of the most cherished British traditions—Bonfire Night! Hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, this festive evening promises a warm gathering filled with British culture, food, and fun for everyone in the community.

Expect a night full of:

🔥 A Crackling Bonfire
At the heart of the event, a large bonfire will be lit to commemorate Bonfire Night, a British tradition that dates back to 1605. You'll feel the warmth as it blazes through the cool air, creating a cosy atmosphere for all to enjoy.

🥔 Delicious British Food
No British gathering is complete without hearty food! You'll get to enjoy jacket potatoes baked to perfection, along with a bowl of steaming hot soup, perfect for keeping the cold at bay.

Prepare to be dazzled by a fireworks show, lighting up the sky and marking the occasion in true British fashion.

👑 The "Guys" Contest
One of the highlights of the night is the "Guys" contest, where participants create life-size effigies of “Guy Fawkes” to be judged. The creativity on display is always impressive, and you can take part or just enjoy the spectacle.

Why Attend?

Bonfire Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Night, is a long-standing British celebration held annually on the 5th of November. It marks the historical event of the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London. This evening is a chance to experience a slice of British heritage, with a family-friendly atmosphere perfect for both locals and expats alike.
