On January 4 at 3:00 PM in Prague, astronomer and science popularizer Vladimir Surdin will give a new lecture on the most mysterious phenomena in the Universe 💥
Ever dreamed of traveling through time?
Meet black holes and wormholes!
They help us understand how space and time are structured — and show where our reality ends and the unknown begins.
Questions we ask ourselves today:
— Who first discovered black holes, and how many times have they been “born and died” in the history of science?
— When did astronomers realize that a black hole is not a mathematical trick but a real object?
— Is it possible to see a black hole if it’s completely black?
— What are gravitational waves, and what secrets do they reveal?
— What are wormholes, and could they allow travel through space and time?
Vladimir Surdin will answer questions that have fascinated generations: where did these mysterious cosmic objects come from, and could humanity ever harness their power?
After the lecture:
— Q&A session — discuss what amazed you the most!
— Book signing get a chance to purchase Vladimir Surdin’s books
— Photo with the speaker — capture the moment with a man who gazes into the black holes of the Universe
