Anželika Cholina's Anna Karenina is a powerful dance-theatre interpretation of Tolstoy's masterpiece, created in close artistic collaboration with artistic director Rimas Tuminas. Combining Cholina's expressive choreography with Tuminas's deeply human theatrical vision, the production transforms a familiar story into an emotionally charged meditation on love, freedom, and sacrifice. Anželika Cholina is one of Lithuania's most acclaimed choreographers and the founder and artistic director of the A|CH Dance Theatre in Klaipėda. Renowned for her distinctive fusion of classical ballet, contemporary dance, and dramatic theatre, she has collaborated closely with director Rimas Tuminas on numerous productions, while also creating her own celebrated dance-theatre works, including the award-winning Anna Karenina. Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Cholina left Russia and has continued her artistic career in Lithuania and across Europe, where she remains one of the leading voices in contemporary dance theatre
