20-22 September in the center of Lisbon will be the main cultural event of the year – the Mytholand Festival of Magical Universes!
Tamara Eidelman, Nikolai Epple, Armen Zakaryan, Oleg Lekmanov, Mikhail Maizuls, Anna Vilenskaya, Nikolai Redkin, Ivan Chernyavsky will come to Lisbon to meet with the audience and discuss favorite literary, cinematographic, artistic, and musical universes!

Two days of magic:
Captivating lectures, vibrant performances, lively discussions, and a packed parallel program. We will talk about Tolkien and his Middle-earth, about Bosch's fantastical worlds, the intrigues and dramas of "Game of Thrones," the magic and enchantment of Miyazaki's world, the saga of Marvel superheroes, the world created by "Korol i Shut," and about dystopias. Discover many amazing stories.

Mytholand is designed as an intellectual space for the Russian-speaking community. Here you can find like-minded individuals, enjoy deep and meaningful conversations, and expand your circle of acquaintances. We emphasize networking and strive to create an atmosphere conducive to making new friends and interesting contacts.

Over the course of two days, you can expect unique lectures from leading specialists—philologists, historians, and musicologists. You will have the opportunity to hear presentations from the eight leading experts and researchers, participate in engaging discussions, ask questions to the lecturers, and get autographs on their books.

Speaker: Oleg Lekmanov – Doctor of Philological Sciences, literary historian. From 1998 to 2011, he taught at Moscow State University, since 2011 - at National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE). Professor at RGGU. Specialist in the history of Silver Age literature, author of books about Osip Mandelstam, Sergei Yesenin, Boris Pasternak. Author of lecture cycles and commentaries on works of Russian literature. ""Magical Journeys of Armen Zakharyan and Tamara Eidelman". Meeting with the hosts of the podcast Tamara Eidelman and Armen Zakaryan.
During the meeting, there will be a final dialogue between the two hosts about the rules by which magical universes exist and why they attract us. And, of course, Tamara Eidelman and Armen Zakaryan will answer questions from the audience.

"The Temptation of Saint Anthony" by Hieronymus Bosch: seminar with Mikhail Mayzuls at the National Museum of Ancient Art in Lisbon
We will go to see one of Bosch's most important works accompanied by the well-known medievalist historian Mikhail Mayzuls, author of courses on Arzamas and Stradarium. Find out what it's like to watch and see, unravel mysteries and discover context, learn the secrets of the world imagined by Hieronymus Bosch.
The participation fee includes a museum ticket.

"The Magical Land and Its Surroundings." Meeting with Nikolay Epple
At Liberty: food, coffee & wine, there will be a presentation of Nikolay Epple's new book, during which the author will talk about the process of working on the book and will give autographs.
"The Magical Land and Its Surroundings" is a collection of essays about English writers of the XIX-XXI centuries, whose works are typically classified as genres such as fairy tales, children's stories, and fantasy novels. However, in this book, these authors appear before the reader integrated into the tradition of Imaginary Country literature. The heroes of Epple's book - Carroll, Milne, Chesterton, Williams, Lewis, Tolkien, Pratchett, Rowling, and many others - are all familiar in life or through books, they learn from each other, "play" and engage in debates.
