When in fundamentally precarious and vulnerable relation with its surroundings, how does a body set itself in motion? Continuing his investigation of resistant choreographic positionings, Michael Turinsky returns to Moving in November with the solo performance Precarious Moves. Both biographical and conceptual, the solo centers on questions of Turinsky’s personal as well as urgent collective needs and necessities concerning mobility and mobilization. Precarious Moves unfolds as ironic, intellectual, and playful, bringing forth a searching movement; an engaged exploration of the strange connection between the body and the sensuous world one moves through.
