About Yugeneration
Yugeneration is the non-profit project of Yugen. For every bottle or can sold, 2 cents go to the foundation. Our mission is to bring people back to nature — and help to restore it.
The name says it all: YUGENeration. Yugen is a Japanese concept — the sense of wonder you feel for the beauty of nature. That moment when the vastness of the world around you gives you goosebumps.
We believe that people who truly experience nature also take better care of it. So Yugeneration funds free nature experiences — working with esteemed local organisations. This spring, we're organizing a series of free nature experiences, including Forest Bathing for burnout recovery.
What is Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) is a slow, guided experience in nature. Through gentle walks and simple sensory exercises, you tune into your surroundings, your body, and yourself. No effort, no pressure — just presence.
Practiced for decades in Japan and South Korea, it’s proven to reduce stress and support mental health. And the best part? Once you learn how, it’s a tool you can return to anytime.
A note on burnout recovery:
Forest bathing is for everyone — but for people recovering from burnout, it's positive effects often go deeper and last longer. People can slow down, get out of their heads, and discover how nature can support their recovery.
That’s why, alongside our general sessions, we're offering dedicated burnout sessions: small groups (max. 8), with extra focus on rest, safety, and trust.
About Our Partner: Treewise
We're joining forces with Treewise for this series of guided forest bathing sessions — led by Anthony Bal, an experienced forest bathing guide and mental wellbeing coach who has been doing this work for years.
Through slow walks, sensory attention, and pure immersion in nature, these sessions help you unwind, recharge, and reconnect — with the forest, and with yourself.
We warmly invite you to join us!

FAQ
Do I need to register for the event?
Yes. As we work with a limited number of spots per activity, registration in advance is required.
Why do I need to pay a reservation fee if the event is free?
To avoid no-shows, we ask for a small reservation fee. This will be fully refunded after your event attendance.
What ages are the events suitable for?
Our events are open to all ages, unless stated otherwise on the event page. For these specific forest bathing sessions, we specifically focus on participants who are suffering from burnout.
What if I can no longer attend?
If you can no longer participate, please cancel your registration in time and notify us via email: [email protected] so someone else can take your spot. If you do not show up without notice, your reservation fee will be donated to Yugeneration.
What should I bring?
Practical information such as clothing materials or preparation will be shared with you after registering. For additional questions, contact: [email protected].
Where exactly does the event take place?
The exact location will be shared after registration or a few days before the event. For additional questions, contact: [email protected].
Will the activity take place in bad weather?
Yes. Weather conditions are part of the nature experience, so rain alone is not a reason to cancel. We ask participants to dress accordingly. Only in case of storm or severe weather will the activity be cancelled for safety reasons.
What happens if an activity is cancelled?
The organization closely monitors weather conditions and communicates any cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. In that case, we usually offer a “rain check” and reschedule the session.
Can I participate in multiple sessions?
Yugeneration is designed for individuals who want to recharge in nature. To ensure fair access for everyone, the following rules apply:
Participation is exclusively for individuals. If you wish to participate as a company, organization or group, please contact the activity organizer directly for a tailored experience.
Maximum of 1 session per person per season. Duplicate registrations may be cancelled to give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate.
