WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? (1966) Film Screening

FOMO Secret Cinema, Tbilisi

Mike Nichols | USA | 1966 | English audio with English subtitles

Director Mike Nichols adapts Edward Albee’s stage classic into a ferocious cinematic chamber piece. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton play a couple who weaponise humour, affection, and bitterness during a long night with two younger guests.

Nichols keeps the camera close, trapping the characters inside rooms thick with tension. The result is a landmark of American cinema. It changed how Hollywood approached adult material and remains a study of relationships pushed to their limit.

Location: FOMO Secret Cinema, Bazari Orbeliani, Tbilisi. A five-minute walk from Liberty Square metro.

How to find FOMO: Enter the Bazari via Atoneli St, above Carrefour, and take the stairs immediately on your left behind the jewellery stand. The cinema entrance is one flight up in the stairwell.
