Xavi & Abdullah bring their international stand-up show to Vienna after sold-out shows in 20+ cities across Europe.
Xavi is from Chile. Abdullah is from Turkey. Together, they founded Madrid’s first dedicated English-speaking comedy club — and now they’re bringing their touring show We Are Not From Here to Vienna.
After performing in more than 20 cities across Europe, with almost every show selling out, Xavi and Abdullah are bringing the same mix of stand-up comedy, international crowds and great energy to The Comedy Pub.
We Are Not From Here is inspired by their own experience of living between cultures — moving countries, adapting, misunderstanding things, trying to fit in and occasionally realizing that you don’t feel completely from anywhere.
Expect comedy about cultural differences, relationships, identity, living abroad and the strange situations that come with building a life somewhere that isn’t quite home.
But the night is about more than just the show.
A few years ago, Xavi and Abdullah started organizing comedy because they wanted to create the kind of night they would actually want to attend themselves: funny, welcoming, international and full of good energy.
What started in Madrid grew into an international comedy community and eventually took them across Europe.
Every city is different, but the feeling remains the same: people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds sitting in the same room and laughing together.
That is what We Are Not From Here is about.
