We are bringing our hit show to Munich for the first time after a sold-out run in Europe!

We’re Xavi and Abdullah — Xavi is from Chile, Abdullah is from Turkey and we’re the founders of Madrid’s first and only dedicated English-speaking comedy club. Over the past few years, we’ve built an international community around stand-up and taken our shows to more than 20 cities across Europe, with almost every show selling out. We Are Not From Here is about bringing that same feeling everywhere we go: good comedy, international crowds, great energy and a room where everyone is welcome. What is the story behind all of this?

A few years ago, we started putting on stand-up shows because we wanted to create the kind of comedy night we would actually want to go to ourselves: funny, welcoming, international and full of good energy. Since then, we’ve spent years building a community around comedy, bringing together people from all over the world and creating nights where strangers quickly stop feeling like strangers.

What started in Madrid has now taken us to more than 20 cities across Europe, with almost every show selling out. Everywhere we go, the audience is different, but the feeling is usually the same: people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds laughing at the same things, meeting each other and having a really good night together.

That is what We Are Not From Here is really about.

The show comes from our own experience of living between cultures, moving countries, adapting, misunderstanding things, trying to fit in and sometimes feeling like you are not completely from anywhere. But beyond the comedy itself, we want the night to feel social, warm and open to everyone.

Bring your friends, bring a date, come with your partner, or just come by yourself. You do not need to know anyone in the room. You might arrive alone and leave having met someone who sees the world a bit like you do.
