On January 25th at 7:00 PM in Almaty, there will be a lecture titled "How to Listen to Stravinsky and Enjoy It", conducted by Anna Vilenskaya, a musicologist, composer, and creator of the project "Open Music Lecture".
There is a common belief among musicians that the 20th century did not begin in 1900, but rather in 1913 when people first heard Stravinsky's ballet "The Rite of Spring".
Igor Stravinsky was a Russian immigrant, a trendsetter in the music industry, and an avant-garde intellectual. However, the most important thing is that his music can be listened to in everyday life and can provide energy if one understands how it is made.
During the lecture, we will analyze the rhythm, chords, and score graphics of Stravinsky's music to see how it is made and make it a part of our lives.
The lecture will take place on January 25th at 7:00 PM in Almaty at Smart Point, located at 280 Baizakov Street.
The lecture will be conducted in Russian.
