“With Hasan in Gaza” (2025, dir. Kamal Aljafari, 106 min, in Arabic with [subtitles]). Three MiniDV tapes of life in Gaza from 2001 were recently rediscovered. What started as a search for a former prison mate from 1989 led to an unexpected road trip from the north to the south of Gaza with Hasan, a local guide whose fate remains unknown. A reflection on memory, loss and the passage of time.

After the screening, curator Vivek Jain will facilitate a reflective assembly.

The screening is part of the programme "The Image Insists", curated by Vivek Jain. The film is kindly provided by Filmlab Palestine as part of Palestine Cinema Days.
