Two days — two extraordinary worlds of art.
On both days, we meet at 4:00 PM at Tate Britain to dive into the works of great British artists — William Turner and the Pre-Raphaelites — together with Tamara Eidelman.
August 27, 4:00–6:00 PM — The Pre-Raphaelites Tour
I truly love London, I love its museums, and I especially love Tate Britain. And I also love sharing the things I find fascinating.
For instance, the beautiful, wonderful, and slightly cheeky Pre-Raphaelites — those who, in the mid-19th century, dreamed of reinventing painting and life itself. Who found their ideal not in Raphael, but in the spiritual depth of the Middle Ages. Who painted their beloveds as mysterious maidens lost in mystical dreams.
On August 27 at 4:00 PM, I invite you to join me in the halls of Tate Britain to talk about the Pre-Raphaelite paintings and the artists behind them — their rebellion against banality and how, without realizing it, they anticipated the 20th century.

August 28, 4:00–6:00 PM — A Tour through the Halls of J.M.W. Turner
The collection of William Turner’s paintings at Tate Britain delivers such an emotional impact that it’s hard to recover from it.
You stand before this explosion of color and try to understand: how did this artist see the world? How did he carry all of this inside himself? And you can’t quite grasp it. Yet you want to keep looking, again and again, trying to make sense of it.
That’s exactly why I’m inviting you on August 28 at 4:00 PM to Tate Britain. We'll talk about the strange man named William Turner — his life, his time (which he was far ahead of), and also about light and color, about the elements and the cosmos that he captured on his canvases.
