Inspired by the colours and shapes of flowers, this hands-on workshop invites you to slow down, create, and play with paper.
Together with Finnish designer and artist Lotta Maija, you'll create your own paper flower mobile using pre-prepared templates. Through colouring, cutting, and arranging floral elements, you'll explore colour, balance, and composition while making a unique hanging artwork to take home.
No previous experience is needed—all materials are provided, and everyone is welcome.
About the artist
Lotta Maija is a Finnish designer and artist working across illustration, surface pattern design, and textile design. Her playful visual language is inspired by flowers, fruit, and other organic forms, combining bold flat colours with a distinctive palette influenced by her background in textile design.
Her creative process always begins with drawing by hand, and she believes that working directly with materials is an essential part of developing ideas. Lotta holds a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design and is currently completing her MA in Contemporary Design at Aalto University, where she has also explored working with glass and ceramics.
