On March 31th at 3:00 PM in Budva, an astronomer, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, and the author of the "Unearthly Podcast," Vladimir Surdin, will give a lecture for children and adults on the topic "Robots are flying to Mars".
Mars is an intriguing and mysterious planet. The mystery of Martian canals is yet to be unraveled, but on the Red Planet, dried riverbeds and giant "wells" leading to the underground world of Mars have already been discovered. Humans will undoubtedly visit this planet someday, but for now, it is being explored by robots. We know the geography of Mars better than that of Earth. Several orbital scouts continuously observe the surface of Mars, and numerous robots have already explored the planet, each one smarter than its predecessor.
The question remains: when will humans venture there?
Vladimir Surdin is an astronomer, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, associate professor at the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University, senior researcher at the Sternberg Astronomical Institute, a science popularizer, and the author and editor of several dozen popular science books on astronomy and astrophysics. He is the laureate of the Belyaev Prize and the "Enlightener" Prize.
The lecture will take place in Budva on March 31th at 3:00 PM at the itbranch.house coworking space, located at bb Mediteranska.
