TIF 26 – Block Party: Stories from Annelinn - A Collage & Visual Storytelling Workshop

🏙️ Join the Tartu Illustration Festival for a playful workshop that combines collage, pop-up techniques and visual storytelling, inspired by the iconic apartment blocks of Annelinn.

Workshop participants will design their own buildings using modular paper cut-outs inspired by Annelinn's iconic architecture before bringing them to life through collage and pop-up techniques.

Who lives behind these windows? Who feeds the pigeons? Who knows the most neighbourhood gossip? Together, we'll create a lively community where architecture and storytelling intertwine, revealing the patterns that emerge through everyday human lives

The workshop concludes with collective storytelling, after which you may never look at Annelinn in quite the same way again.

🧙 About the workshop leader:
Regina Vitányi is a graphic designer and printmaker whose experimental practice explores identity, contemporary folklore and community through collaborations across design, architecture and culture. After working and teaching in several European cities, she is now based in Tartu as a researcher in the University of Tartu's Folkloristics & Cultural Heritage Studies programme.
