Robben Ford is one of the premier electric guitarists today, particularly known for his blues playing as well as his ability to be comfortable in a variety of musical contexts, darting between jazz, rock, fusion and blues. With five Grammy nominations, a five-decade-long solo career, and a resume that includes Jimmy Witherspoon, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison, Phil Lesh, Bonnie Raitt, Claus Ogerman, Michael McDonald, Bob Dylan, John Mayall, Greg Allman and many others, his accomplishments reflect the versatility and musicality of someone who has pursued their true calling. During a live performance, Robben is acutely tuned in, feeding off of the energy of the audience, and fully prepared to throw you a curve ball at any moment.

Having released more than sixteen albums under his own name, Robben Ford returns in exceptional form with his latest album Two Shades of Blue, released in spring 2026 via Provogue/Artone. Recorded in both the US and the UK with two different bands, the album moves between powerful rhythm and blues songs and expansive instrumentals inspired by the late Jeff Beck. Featuring musicians including Larry Goldings, Darryl Jones, Gary Husband, and members of Ford’s UK band, the album reflects his lifelong desire to keep exploring new musical directions and to always do something different.
