Tehnopol Film and Multimedia Accelerator, in collaboration with Ida-Viru Entrepreneurship Centre and GameDev Estonia, invites you to participate in IDA GAME JAM, during which participants will develop a prototype of their video game. The top 5 teams will receive PRIZES!
A Game Jam is a game development competition. Participants make a game from scratch in line with the theme of the jam and within a specified time frame. For the specific IDA Jam teams of 3-6 people will have 48 hours to create a working game prototype. The theme of the Jam will be revealed at the start of the event.
"Jam" is a reference to musical jam sessions. You do not need to have a pre-prepared plan or team, you don't need to have coding skills or any relevant experience. This means you find yourself in a completely new situation, needing to generate a game idea, assess your skills to implement it, learn new things, and meet new people. Ultimately, you end up with a small game, the creation of which you could not have imagined before the jam. It is usually a very educational, inspiring, and energising experience.
To help you out we are bringing experienced video game developers! During the event we will have several lectures and constant help from several mentors. Here are several people you will be able to meet:
Tigran AKhumian
Hard-surface 3D Artist. Blender and Substance Painter pro.
Created art for games, AR and VR projects. Worked on AAA projects like Remnant 2 and Medal of Honor.
