Day 1 – July 25
7:00 PM – LUPA
8:30 PM – Instrumenti
At the “Pink Noise Riga” Festival – the only “Instrumenti” concert in Riga this summer!
The main star of the July 25 concert will be Instrumenti – one of Latvia’s most beloved pop-rock bands. Known for their electrifying blend of electropop, pop-rock, rock, indie, and bold genre-defying experiments, the group’s leaders Jānis Šipkēvics and Reinis Sējāns will be joined by a full backing band for their only live show in Riga this summer.
Opening for Instrumenti is LUPA, an instrumental, electronic, and analog modern fusion group formed in 2016. Featuring Dāvis Jurka, Ritvars Garoza, Valters Sprūdžs, and Andris Buiķis, the band has received multiple award nominations and won “Best Jazz Album” in 2022. On July 25, LUPA will perform music from their album “1982”, recorded with Sinfonietta Rīga and released by Jersika Records in 2025.
Day 2 – July 26
7:00 PM – Kārlis Auziņš Double Trio
8:30 PM – Kamasi Washington “Fearless Movement”
At the Pink Noise Riga Festival – Kamasi Washington’s only concert in the Baltics and Riga this summer!
Kamasi Washington, one of the world’s most spectacular and inspiring saxophonists, will headline with his only Baltic performance as part of the “Freedom of Movement” European Tour. Known for albums like The Epic, Heaven and Earth, and Fearless Movement, Kamasi has worked with Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, and even Metallica. His sound blends post-bop, funk, soul, and hip-hop with a spiritual jazz intensity.
Opening act: Kārlis Auziņš Double Trio, led by the 2025 Latvian Grand Music Award winner. The ensemble will perform the “Equilibrium Suite”, a unique piece written for two double basses, two drum kits, and saxophone—melding global rhythms, jazz improvisation, and minimalist soundscapes. Line-up includes Kārlis Auziņš, David Helm, Edvīns Ozols, Simon Olderskog Albertsen, and Kaspars Kurdeko.
