On June 15th at 7:00 PM in Vilnius, biologist Alexander Panchin will present a lecture titled "Neurobiological Foundations of Myths about the Paranormal."

This horror lecture is dedicated to the neurobiology of sleep paralysis, phantom pain, aura vision, near-death experiences, and other phenomena that form the basis of unusual sensations often attributed to the paranormal nature. Where do demons in our dreams come from? Who can see the aura? Why does a soldier who has had his leg amputated continue to feel pain? How is the existence of doppelgangers possible? What is a near-death experience? And how can we protect ourselves from monsters that come to us in dreams and in reality?

Alexander Panchin is a candidate of biological sciences, laureate of the "Enlightener" award, author of novels and popular science books, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Commission combating pseudoscience, member of the board of the "Evolution" enlightenment fund, and author of a popular YouTube channel.

The lecture will be conducted in Russian and is suitable for adults and children.

The event will take place in Russian on June 18th at 7:00 PM at the Corner Hotel located at T. Ševčenkos g. 16, Vilnius.
