Movement workshop: On Ice

Movement Workshop: On Ice invites you to slip, slide, tumble and majestically glide through space. Welcome to the space where even standing up is difficult. Here working with the body needs constant re-configuration and virtuosity as you knew it is thrown out of the window.

W A U H A U S member, choreographer Jarkko Partanen introduces the slippery conditions of their performance ‘FLUIDS‘. In the workshop we will try out what it is like to move in a space where friction is removed. While lube brings restriction to everyday actions, we search what kind of new physicality it enables.

Workshop is open for movers, dancers, performers, students and professionals. Please bring your own towel, a swimsuit & clothes that can get wet.
