The Intro to Improv Course brought to you by Omnibus Musical Improv is an 8 week improvisation course that consists of weekly 2-hours meetings full of practice, fun, and inspiration. The goal of the course is to introduce you to the world of Improv Comedy, so it is a great start if:
you have never or barely ever performed in front of the crowd
you already have performed on stage but would like to build solid foundations for your further progress
you have improv experience but would like to revisit the basics and meet new people!
Our own programme has been prepared to support you on the beautiful journey improv comedy is. You will learn and practice:
the basics of stage presence
the process of character creation
some basic improv games, their rules, and mechanics
listening to your partners on stage
And then, after the course, we'll give you the stage to add some practical experience in front of real audience!
This course will be led by Maksym, Omnibus’ energy generator. Beyond improv, he has performed in stand-up comedy, Oxford-style debates, and theatre. He is also Omnibus’ pronunciation coach and has recently brought performing back into his professional life by becoming a tour guide and a master of symbolic wedding ceremonies.
