Why do children become "difficult"? How do parental fears, guilt, and the pursuit of perfection prevent us from building happy relationships with our children? What exactly is challenging about parenting? In the upcoming event, Lyudmila Petranovskaya and Natalia Remish will tackle these and other pressing questions that concern every parent.
Together, they will openly discuss:
• Why is raising children differently from how we were raised not always the best choice?
• How can we learn to trust ourselves when we are used to ignoring our own feelings?
• What is compensatory parenting, and how does it hinder a harmonious relationship with our child?
• How do parental perfectionism and anxieties create "difficult" children?
This is more than just a personal conversation about parenting—it’s an opportunity to reconsider your approach and view mistakes in a new light. Are you ready to rethink your ideas about parenting and make it more joyful?
Lyudmila Petranovskaya is a family psychologist and author of popular books such as The Secret Support: Attachment in a Child’s Life, When It’s Hard with Your Child, and Selfmama: Life Hacks for a Working Mom. Natalia Remish is the author of the book series "Simply About Important" Things, creator of the social project and animated film "About Mira and Gosha", and a mother.
After the lecture, there will be a Q&A session. Attendees will also have the chance to purchase and have books signed by the authors.
The event will be held in Russian at Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus-Veranstaltungs. Doors open at 13:30.
