The inventive and hilarious performance encapsulates the message of Christmas and humanity through theatre, physical comedy and music.

Story is based on Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol and tells the story of a scoundrel and Christmas-weary Ebenezer Scrooge, whose Christmas night takes a decisive turn. The spirits of the past, present and future take him on a journey that changes his attitude towards Christmas and his loved ones. In Greta Tuotanto's version, the story comes to life as a fast-paced and musical theatre, where humor and physical comedy lead Scrooge towards change.

The performance is directed by Toby Park, artistic director of the English Spymonkey Theatre, in whose hands Dickens' classic is transformed into a fast-paced and musical theatre delight. The stage is filled with the talents of brothers Jouni and Petri Bäckström, known from the Fabulous Bäckström Brothers productions, and Reetta Ristimäki, alongside singer-actress Emmi Hatjasalo.

A Christmas Carol premiered at the Kapsäkki Music Theatre on November 5, 2021 and has toured Finland for several Christmases, enchanting audiences across the country. For many, the performance has become an annual Christmas tradition, and it attracts a loyal audience to the theatre year after year.
