One of Tokyo's most respected comedians and the co-founder of Tokyo Comedy Bar, Vinay Murthy returns to the Tokyo International Comedy Festival with the sequel nobody asked for, but everyone deserves.

Following last year's hit solo show, Vinay is back with a brand-new hour about surviving life as a father to a toddler who has discovered the word "no." From parenting disasters and cultural confusion to race, identity, and the everyday absurdities of modern life, Vinay blends razor-sharp observations with ridiculous act-outs, questionable accents, and the occasional musical detour.

He's still a bad Indian, bad American, bad Japanese person, bad dad, and possibly just a bad human. Thankfully, he's very good at making people laugh.

The Tokyo International Comedy Festival (TICF) September 17-27, 2025 and will feature Japanese & International comedians. Approximately 70 shows across 6 venues such as Comedy Competitions, Roast Battles, Solo Shows, International headliners, and live podcast recordings.

The primary venues will be Tokyo Comedy Bar, the city’s only dedicated, standup comedy and  Mame Romantic (Haretara Sora ni Mame Maite) in Daikanyama with  additional satellite shows at Nakameguro TapRooms, The Lively Hotel,  the New Sanno Hotel, and the Tokyo American Club.
