For one afternoon, the house speaks Spanish.
Once a month, we open the Socialoftas living room for an afternoon in Spanish. Come in, grab something to drink, find a sofa or a chair, meet some people and speak Spanish.
No teacher. No lesson. No homework. No awkward “let's go around and introduce ourselves.” Bad Spanish is welcome. Good Spanish is welcome. That Spanish you haven't used in years is welcome too.
Forgot a word? Explain it badly. Use your hands. Invent something.
Just don't switch to English.
You don't need to be fluent — if you can have a basic conversation in Spanish, you're good. Native and fluent speakers are very welcome too. There'll be music, tea, small snacks and a few conversation prompts around the room.
Come alone or with someone. Stay for twenty minutes or the whole afternoon.
No rotations. No programme. No networking.
