About the forum:

LE:NOTRE Landscape Forum is an international event with a focus on local landscapes, which have to answer questions about the sustainability of communities from the perspective of local landscapes’ preservation, continuity, and development.

Over four days, local and international researchers, professionals, students, and local communities will share knowledge about landscapes in Estonia and elsewhere, and create visions for six regions in Southern Estonia. These visions will help local communities address challenges such as globalisation, shrinking cities, climate change, food chain disruption, increased urban transportation burden, emigration, etc. The Landscape Forum has six sub-themes, each generating six visions - water landscapes, forest landscapes, fiber landscapes, food landscapes, recreational landscapes, and urban landscapes.

This year, the forum takes place in Southern Estonia and culminates in a public roundtable event in the European Capital of Culture, Tartu, where visions of local landscapes developed in the preceding days will be presented.

The forum will be held from June 25th to June 28th, 2024, at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. The forum is in English, and registration is open until May 31st on the forum's website.

The public is welcome to attend - to listen and discuss - the public roundtable event, which will take place on Friday, June 28th, from 11:00 to 15:00 in the main building of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. You are welcome to have lunch with us and additionally attend the exhibition of student competition winner entries.

The event is in English and free of charge.

Participation in the public event is available in person or online. To attend the event in for in-person please take a guest ticket on Fienta. To watch the event online, please follow the link: https://videosild.emu.ee/b/sim-zx6-ig9-y9n
