The concert takes the listener on a journey through life on Ruhnu Island: from weddings and festivities to the church and the shore, from everyday life to maritime solitude.
Stories from centuries ago tell of a small community’s joys, faith, and survival. They offer a glimpse into a unique culture whose continuity was severed by the great escape of 1944. This performance is a tribute to a powerful cultural heritage that lives on through music and storytelling.
The trio’s concert invites you to dance to the tunes of Ruhnu-Swedish fiddle music, sing along, and immerse yourself in the extraordinary world of Ruhnu Island and its people. It is an evening where historical memory meets a modern reflection.
