Family Concert: Andre Maaker & Priit Võigemast (EE) / Viljandi Guitar Festival 2026

Andre Maaker and Priit Võigemast will perform at this year's family concert on October 11th!

At our traditional Sunday morning family concert, all age barriers disappear once again, and the music born from simply being together offers a musical experience filled with familiar melodies, sing-alongs, little tales, interludes, and new friendships.

A family concert is like coming home. You can sit peacefully in the back row with your thoughts and feelings, or move closer to the performers to share reflections on life and everything around it. You can sing along at the top of your lungs or quietly hum to yourself. The songs and stories are familiar – the kind the whole family knows
by heart, sort of knows, or at least wishes they did.

This year, guitarist Andre Maaker is joined by actor and director Priit Võigemast on stage to discover common ground through stories, songs, and shared moments – moments to joyfully spend together, fondly reminisce, and dream hopefully toward the future. That’s just the way this annual family concert is! It’s born anew each time, with laughter, the audience and the sound of the guitar.
