Classical concert: Jelena Ossipova & Kristjan Tamm (EE) / Viljandi Guitar Festival 2026

Jelena Ossipova and Kristjan Tamm will perform on the 10th of October at Viljandi Guitar Festival. 🎸

The collaboration between guitarists Jelena Ossipova and Kristjan Tamm began in 2020, and since then they have won audiences over with their exceptional ensemble playing, musicality, and virtuosity. Over the years, the duo has presented Estonian audiences with a variety of distinguished and diverse concert programmes.

At Viljandi Guitar Festival, they will perform a virtuosic, colourful, and beautifully crafted programme that showcases the many facets of the guitar duo repertoire. The concert begins with the Mozartian brilliance of Ferdinando Carulli’s celebrated works for two guitars and continues with highlights from Urmas Sisask’s cycle Contemporary Zodiac.

In the second half of the concert, the duo takes listeners on a journey to South America with music by Máximo Diego Pujol and Paulo Bellinati, where the bustling energy of Buenos Aires’ main avenues alternates with the yearning sounds of the milonga. The programme culminates in the vibrant and dance-inspired piece Jongo.
