Kapina elämän puolesta - Lapinlahti Film Festival 2026

Rebels struggle to reconcile their own moral convictions with the rule of law as the climate crisis and biodiversity loss accelerate at an alarming pace. In pursuing its goals, the Extinction Rebellion Finland (Elokapina) movement employs nonviolent civil disobedience as one of its key methods. Activists use their own bodies to block factories, industrial operations and streets. The film also presents criticism directed at Elokapina, including angry and confrontational reactions, inviting viewers to weigh the different perspectives for themselves. The authorities set the limits for demonstrations, at times resorting to heavy-handed policing.
