jaZZanti concert: Trio Pietilä–Baumann–Soo
Monday 11. May at 19:00 - 20:30
Hakasalmen huvila, Helsinki
Trio Pietilä–Baumann–Soo brings together three distinctive and highly individual artists from the European experimental music scene: Finnish saxophonist and composer Esa Pietilä, Swiss vocalist and sound artist Franziska Baumann, and Estonian guitarist and improviser Mart Soo.
Their music unfolds at the intersection of contemporary chamber music and free improvisation. Combining extended instrumental and vocal techniques, live electronics, and refined structural awareness, the trio crafts immersive sonic environments that range from fragile and intimate to powerful and texturally rich.
Driven by deep listening and a shared sensitivity to form, each performance becomes a unique, evolving dialogue—shaped in the moment yet grounded in a strong artistic vision.
