Hi, my name is Nabila Naritami, but you can call me Nabi! I’m originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, but since 2020, I’ve been living in the beautiful city of Tallinn, Estonia. I’m a preschool teacher here, and I also love sharing the joy of Indonesian cooking. I’ve had the pleasure of going around Estonia, hosting cooking classes in places like Kohila and other wonderful locations and now here in Kalamaja Museum.
With this wonderful event, I’m excited to guide you through making some delicious Indonesian favorites like martabak telur, crispy corn fritters, coconut steamed rice, tempe orek, and pork satay with peanut sauce. Let’s have fun cooking together!
“Flavours of Kalamaja” is a monthly hands-on cooking event, taking place in the kitchen of the Kalamaja museum. People meet once a month to make delicious dishes, sometimes using local historical recipes and the guidance of current and former residents of Kalamaja. At these events we socialize in Estonian as well in English if needed.
