Madrid Comedy Lab proudly presents: Anya Zova
Anya Zova has survived a world championship kickboxing career, a move across continents, and the dating scene. Naturally, she has questions. Born and raised in Eastern Europe, she now lives in Hollywood—where the accents are easier to understand than the people. Anya's credits include: Netflix is a Joke, New York Comedy Festival, Abu Dhabi Comedy Festival. Acting credits include: Brooklyn Nine Nine. MacGyver.
In Going Nuts, the comedian and former professional wrestler turns culture shock, relationships, ambition, and her own questionable decisions into a bold, personal stand-up show. Expect sharp observations, unexpected stories, and the kind of honesty that makes you laugh before you realize she might be talking about you.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Anya Zova is a stand-up comedian, actress, and producer who brings an unconventional life story to everything she creates — blending humor, tension, and emotional truth across stage and screen.
With over a decade of experience in entertainment, her work spans stand-up, television, and film, including internationally performed comedy, festival appearances, and documentary projects shot across multiple countries. Whether she’s on stage or developing a project, Anya gravitates toward stories that sit at the intersection of vulnerability and control — often exploring what people reveal, and what they try to hide.
Born in Eastern Europe, Anya was first a Kickboxing World Champion and later earned her law degree by the age of 20 before moving to the United States. That discipline and duality — strength and sensitivity — now define her creative voice.
As a performer, she’s known for her sharp, disarming perspective and ability to turn personal and cultural tension into connection. As a creator and producer, she is drawn to bold, character-driven work that combines emotional depth with strong visual and conceptual storytelling.
Anya collaborates across comedy, theatre, and film, developing projects that are both entertaining and psychologically resonant — with a focus on work that challenges, engages, and stays with an audience beyond the moment.
