The Judgment of History

Tamara Nathanovna Eidelman, a historian, lecturer, writer, educator, and popular YouTube channel creator with over one million followers, will give a lecture in Almaty on September 14th on the topic of "The Judgment of History".

In this discussion with the audience, one of the most burning issues of our time - guilt and responsibility - will be addressed. Tamara Nathanovna will explain how these questions have been resolved in different times and cultures. Together with the audience, she will consider whether there is collective responsibility or whether it is a remnant of the medieval worldview. People in different eras and countries have tried to find an answer to the question of who is responsible for crimes, wars, and civilian murders. Who is guilty - the executioners themselves or the propagandists, those who participated in the crimes or those who remained silent? History knows many answers to these questions. Of course, none of them is entirely correct, but Tamara Nathanovna offers her listeners the opportunity to learn how people in different times and eras have tried to find answers to these questions.
